The short version

• Be decent. No harassment, hate, threats, sexual content or spam. Trash talk about the match is fine. Attacks on a person are not.
• No personal information. Do not share your own or anyone else's real name, address, phone number or accounts.
• Keep it legal. No illegal content, no scams, no cheating tools, no ads.
• Respect the room. Do not flood the chat, or dodge the filter on purpose.

How chat works

• Text is filtered. Blocked words become "****". The filter is a safety net, so you still have to follow the rules.
• Chat is for people you play with. It is limited to your lobby and match. You join by code, so you choose who you play with.
• Under 13. Players under 13 get quick-chat presets only, with no typed text.

Mute, block and report

• Hide text for one player: open their name and choose the option. It only affects what you see.
• Block a player: their text is dropped on your device for good, even if they change their name.
• Report a player: open their name, choose Report, pick a reason and add a note if you like. The report includes the last 50 chat lines of the match so we can see what happened. Reporting and blocking are separate buttons, and you can do both.

What we do with reports

• A person reads every report. We aim to act within 24 hours.
• Enforcement goes from a warning, to a chat restriction, to a ban from online play. Serious cases (threats, anything that puts a person at risk, anything illegal) can go straight to a ban and may be passed to the authorities.
• We tell the person we acted on what we did and why, in the game. If you emailed us we reply to you; we never need your email to act on a report. You can appeal by email, and a second person looks again.
• Reports are kept for 90 days, then deleted. Details are in the privacy policy.
